Davina Lane
Sherando — Junior — Hurdles/Sprints
Lane was the Group 4A state champion in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Lane posted the area’s best times in the 100 hurdles (14.43), 300 hurdles (43.91), 100 (12.63), 200 (25.45) and 400 (59.83). 4A West Region and Conference 21 West champ in 100H, 300H and 200. Also 4th in Group 4A 200 state prelims, but storm pushed finals to another day and Lane could not attend.
Rene Rosso
Wood — Sophomore — Hurdles, Jumps
Posted the area’s best marks in the long jump (17-01/4) and triple jump (37-01/2) and the No. 2 marks in the 100 hurdles (15.08), 300 hurdles (47.24) and high jump (5-4). Group 4A meet: 4th in 100H (all-state), 7th in 300H (all-state), 11th in LJ and TJ, tied for 14th in HJ; 4A West: 2nd in 100H and 300H, 4th in TJ, 5th in LJ, 8th in HJ; Conference 21 West: 1st in LJ and TJ, 2nd in 100H and 300H, 3rd in HJ.
Grace Greene
Wood — Senior — Throws
Greene was the Group 4A state champion in the discus and also placed 7th in Group 4A in the shot put (all-state). Posted area’s best marks in disc (123-4) and the shot (36-11). 4A West Region and Conference 21 West champ in the shot and disc. Will compete at George Mason next year.
Madison McLean
Clarke — Sophomore — Jumps/Middle Distance
McLean tied for the area’s No. 3 mark in the HJ (5-2) and had the No. 3 time in the 400 (1:03.21). HJ: 4th in Group 2A (all-state), 2nd in 2A East Region, tied for 2nd in Conference 35; 400: 4th in Group 2A (all-state), 2A East and C35. Ran on 4x400 team that placed 6th in Group 2A (all-state).
Kaycee Cox-Philyaw
Millbrook — Freshman — Distance
Cox-Philyaw posted the area’s No. 2 time in the 1,600 (5:28.41) and 3,200 (11:42.13) and the No. 3 time in the 800 (2:28.74). Group 4A state meet: 19th in the 3,200; 4A West: 9th in the 1,600; Conference 21 West: 1st in the 1,600.
Taylor Beard
Handley — Freshman — Jumps
Beard posted the area’s best mark in the high jump (5-5). Placed 2nd at the Group 4A meet (all-state) and 1st in the 4A West Region. Beard also posted the area’s No. 2 time in the 400 (1:01.86).
Hannah Cavanagh
Wood — Junior — Throws
In the discus, Cavanagh placed 9th at the Group 4A state meet, 5th in the 4A West and 3rd in Conference 21 West. She also posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the shot put (35-6) and placed 2nd in C21 West.
Olivia Couillard
Sherando — Freshman — Distance
Couillard posted the area’s fastest time in the 3,200 (11:37.02). Placed 17th at the Group 4A state meet and 10th in the 4A West Region. Took 4th in the 1,600 in Conference 21 West (5:35.16).
Allison Combs
Sherando — Senior — Throws
In the discus, Combs placed 5th at the Group 4A meet (all-state), 7th in the 4A West Region and 4th in Conference 21 West. Posted area’s No. 3 mark (110-5). In the shot put, placed 5th in C21 West (33-31/2).
Nadia Dahimene
Millbrook — Senior — Distance
Dahimene posted the area’s best time in the 1,600 (5:26.88) and No. 3 time in the 3,200 (11:43.91). 3,200: Placed 12th in the Group 4A state meet and 1st in Conference 21 West. Took 2nd in C21 West in 1,600.
Ali Devart
Millbrook — Freshman — Jumps
In the high jump, Devart placed 4th at the Group 4A meet (all-state), tied for 5th in the 4A West Region and took 1st in Conference 21 West. Tied for the area’s No. 3 mark in the HJ (5-2). Also took 5th in C21 West in the 400.
Becca Ferrulli
Wood — Senior — Jumps
Ferrulli posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the long jump (16-43/4) and No. 3 mark in the triple jump (34-71/2). Placed 3rd in both events at the Conference 21 West meet. Will compete for Shenandoah next year.
Emma Hammond
Wood — Junior — Jumps
Hammond posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the triple jump (35-91/4). Group 4A state meet: 15th in the TJ, tied for 17th in high jump (4-10); 4A West Region: 9th in the TJ; Conference 21 West: 2nd in the TJ, 4th in the HJ.
Donzailya Berg
Sherando — Sophomore — Jumps
Berg tied for 5th at Group 4A meet (all-state) in the high jump. Tied for area’s No. 3 mark in the HJ (5-2) and posted No. 3 mark in the long jump (16-41/2). Conference 21 West: 2nd in the HJ, 4th in LJ.
Lindsay Lockhart
Millbrook — Senior — Throws
Lockhart posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the discus (116-9). She was a Group 4A state qualifer and took second at the Conference 21 West meet.
