BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD - Colonels take 3rd in Harrisonburg

HARRISONBURG — James Wood opened its season by taking third place at the eight-team Gary Bugg Co-ed Classic at Harrisonburg High School on Tuesday.

Harrisonburg won the meet with 64.5 points, Robert E. Lee (Staunton) was second with 56, and James Wood was third with 53.5.

The Colonels were led by William Crowder (first in the long jump, 19-10.5), the 4x100 relay (first in 45.10), the 4x200 relay (first in 1:38.50) , the 4x400 relay (first in 3:50.9) and Chance Grove (third in the discus (122-9). Names of relay participants were not provided.
