GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD - Colonels 88, Judges 44

WINCHESTER — Rene Rosso won a pair of events to lead James Wood past Handley on Wednesday.

Rosso won the 100 (13.68) and long jump (16-31/2).

Other individual winners for the Colonels were: Gabbie Groundwater (100 hurdles in 19.24), Sophia Dorsey (5:57.06 in the 1,600), Dy’Avean Sloane (51.82 in the 300 hurdles), Kenzie Konyar (12:10.54 in the 3,200) and Emma Hammond (36-5 in the triple jump).

Mya Mintschenko and Casey Nelson paced the Judges with two wins. Mintschenko took the 200 (28.39) and 400 (1:02.22), while Nelson captures the discus (98-10) and shot put (36-7). Other Handley winners were: Taylor Beard (5-2 in the high jump) and Kristin Blake (2:30.0 in the 800).
