WINCHESTER — The Handley boys won the Class 4 Northwestern District meet by scoring 25 points in the pole vault on Monday at Handley, and the James Wood girls held on to share the title with Fauquier following the results of the pole vault.

Jack Armel and Max Doerwaldt shared the boys’ pole vault title, each clearing 12 feet without any misses. Handley freshman Mary McKay broke her own school record in the girls’ pole vault with an 11-6, topping her own school mark of 11 feet set earlier this season.
