Rene Rosso — Wood — Senior Hurdles, Jumps, Sprints

Class 4 state champion in 100 hurdles and long jump, all-state in 300 hurdles (2nd), high jump (tied for 2nd) and triple jump (5th). Posted area’s best marks in 100H (14.78), 300H (46.27) and LJ (17-9) and No. 2 marks in 200 (26.32), HJ (5-4) and TJ (37-9.5). Region 4C: 1st in 100H, 300H, 2nd in 200, HJ, LJ, 3rd in TJ. Class 4 NWD: 1st in 100H, 300H, 2nd in 200, HJ, LJ, TJ. Will compete at Mount St. Mary’s.

Taylor Beard — Handley — Junior Jumps, Hurdles, Sprints

Class 4 state champion in high jump and all-state in triple jump (3rd) and 300 hurdles (5th). Posted area’s best marks in HJ (5-10), TJ (38-6), 200 (26.28) and No. 2 marks in 100H (15.64), 300H (46.84) and LJ (17-3.25). Region 4C: 1st in HJ, 2nd in TJ, 100H, 4th in 200, 5th in LJ. Class 4 NWD: 1st in HJ, LJ, TJ, 200, 2nd in 100H, 300H.

Casey Nelson — Handley — Senior Throws

Class 4 state champion in discus and 2nd (all-state) in shot put. Posted area’s best marks in discus (131-0.5) and SP (40-11.5). Region 4C and Class 4 Northwestern District champion in both the discus and SP. Placed 4th in Emerging Elite division at New Balance Nationals in discus. Will compete at George Mason.

Donzailya Berg — Sherando — Senior Hurdles, Jumps, Sprints

Posted area’s No. 3 marks in 100 hurdles (16.38) and long jump (16-10.75). Class 4 state meet: 7th (all-state) in 100 hurdles and ran a leg on 6th-place (all-state) 4x100 team. Region 4C: 3rd in 100H, 7th in LJ, 7th in high jump. Class 4 NWD: 3rd in LJ, 100H and 100, 5th in HJ, 7th in triple jump. Will compete at Lynchburg.

Sarah Purdy — Millbrook — Sophomore Hurdles, Jumps
