James Wood sweeps tri meet
WINCHESTER — The James Wood boys and girls each defeated Kettle Run and Liberty in a Class 4 Northwestern District tri meet at Kelican Stadium on Wednesday.
The Colonel girls scored 126 points to Kettle Run’s 28 and Liberty’s 23. James Wood’s boys scored 67 points while Liberty scored 54 and Kettle Run had 18.
James Wood girls’ winners: Alana Bradford (100, 13.41); Kallie Gyurisin (100 hurdles, 18.98); Lillian Lovelace (300 hurdles, 51.42); Omaie Aarami (400, 1:06.81); Jocelyn Kluge (1,600, 5:44.76); Aubrey Grove (discus, 116-06); Olivia Boyce (long jump, 14-0); Jocelyn Hempel (triple jump, 31-7); 4x100 (53.05); 4x400 (4:28.43); 4x800 (9:58.02).
