Handley rallies to top Wood

Winchester — Getting over a stomach flu and catching the beginning of a cold, Danziel Cartwright wasn’t sure how much he’d be able to contribute to the Handley High School boys’ basketball team’s game at James Wood on Monday night.
Two doses of back-to-back 3-pointers turned out to be the best remedy.
Cartwright scored 14 of his game-high 17 points after halftime, leading the Judges to a 71-53 come-from-behind Northwestern District win at Shirley Gymnasium.
