Wood Boys Top Skyline 48-33

FRONT ROYAL — Peyton Crickman scored 12 points and had nine rebounds to lead James Wood to a 48-33 Northwestern District boys’ basketball victory over Skyline on Friday night.

The Colonels (8-5, 2-0) took control of the game early, outscoring the Hawks (2-11, 0-2) 16-2 in the opening quarter.

Cam Butler added seven points and four assists, and Ryland Williams finished with six points and seven rebounds for the Colonels.

Junior guard Jamal Parker led the Hawks with eight points.
