BOYS’ BASKETBALL - Colonels 74, Wildcats 53

WINCHESTER — James Wood junior forward Sam Costin scored 19 points and had eight rebounds to lead the Colonels’ season-opening victory over Warren County at Shirley Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

The Colonels used a 24-point second quarter to take a 44-33 advantage at the half.

Sophomore Chandler Brooks added 18 points and six assists, and Randolph Jackson scored 14 points and had nine rebounds for the Colonels. James Wood’s Aidan Houser chipped in with seven points and added six assists.

Robert Rutherford led Warren County with 11 points.
