Boys' Basketball - Colonels 50, Hawks 48

FRONT ROYAL — Aidan Houser nailed two free throws with 2.8 seconds left as James Wood pulled out a win over Skyline.

The Colonels (13-8, 3-5 Northwestern District) had the ball at halfcourt and got the ball to Houser, who sank both attempts. The Hawks got off a halfcourt shot at the buzzer that hit the backboard but did not draw iron.

Chandler Brooks had 14 points, seven rebounds and five steals for Wood. Andrew Hinebaugh added eight points and six boards. Colin Watts and Houser added five and four assists, respectively.

Antwan Swain (13), TrayQuan Diamond (11) and Colin Smith (11) scored in double figures for the Hawks.
