Boys' Basketball - Warriors 42, Colonels 41

BOONSBORO, Md. — James Wood’s fourth-quarter rally fell just short as Colonels lost in the host team in the title game of the Boonsboro Holiday Classic.

James Wood (4-5) trailed 37-29 entering the final period and still was down by nine points with about four minutes remaining. The Colonels got to within a point on Vincent Lew’s basket with six seconds left. After Boonsboro missed at the foul line, Wood got the ball back under the Warriors’ basket with 0.2 seconds left and could not get a shot before time ran out.

Lew and Cameron Firebaugh led the Colonels with 11 points each. Aidan Houser had nine points and seven rebounds, while Sam Costin grabbed 11 rebounds. Costin and Houser were named to the All-Tournament team.

Tysean Hannah had 12 points and Ryan Nolan added 10 for Boonsboro.
