FRONT ROYAL — James Wood survived with six players out due to illness as the Colonels (6-8, 1-2 Northwestern District) slipped past Skyline.

Leading 26-24 at the half, James Wood broke the game open by outscoring Skyline 19-12 in the third quarter. Sam Costin (10 rebounds) had eight of his 12 points in the period to lead the surge.

Aidan Houser led the Colonels with 14 points. Chris Vitagliano (six rebounds) added 11 and Ben Sear notched 10. Each of the eight Colonels scored at least one basket.

Colin Smith had 22 points for Skyline (1-14, 0-3).
