Firebaugh's career-high 35 lead James Wood boys past Strasburg

STRASBURG — Cam Firebaugh was blistering hot for the James Wood boys’ basketball team on Friday.

Firebaugh pumped in a career-high 35 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out five assists as the Colonels rallied to beat Strasburg 60-49.

James Wood (5-3) trailed 18-14 after one quarter, but squared the score at 26-26 at the half. The Colonels took a one-point lead into the final quarter, where they outscored the Rams 23-13.

Firebaugh nailed a pair of three-pointers in the contest and went 13 of 17 from the foul line. Bennett Smith added seven points and five rebounds.

Dylan Hamrick netted 22 points and Stephen Kloosterman had 12 for Strasburg.
