Boy's - All-Class 4 Northwestern District Basketball
Handley senior point guard Michael Brown was named the Boys’ Player of the Year and Millbrook senior guard Erika Reed was chosen as the Girls’ Player of the Year for the All-Class 4 Northwestern District basketball teams that were released on Tuesday.
Handley’s Jason Toton was named the Boys’ Coach of the Year and Millbrook’s Erick Green Sr. was chosen as the Girls’ Coach of the Year. Both men led their respective teams to Class 4 Northwestern District regular season and tournament championships.
Brown was joined on the boys’ first team by teammate Gus Wise, a senior forward; Millbrook senior guards Jordan Funk and Ben Curtin; and Sherando senior guard Aaron Banks, Fauquier freshman guard Angelo Brizzi, Liberty senior guard Josh Foote and Kettle Run senior Tyler Trimble.
Second team selections are Handley junior guard Kevin Curry and junior forward D’Andre James; and Millbrook senior forward Trammell Anthony, Sherando senior guard Tad Dean, James Wood senior guard Cameron Firebaugh, Fauquier senior guard Frankie Strano, Liberty sophomore forward Derrick Brooks and Kettle Run junior Braeden Allen.
Honorable mention selections are Millbrook junior forwards Jalen Tyson and Isaac Brown; Sherando senior guard Matt McKay and junior guard George Gibson; and Handley senior guard Keevon Martin, Fauquier senior guard/forward Dakari Mullens and Liberty junior guard Christian Reames.
