NOKESVILLE — Cinderella’s glass slipper didn’t fit for the second consecutive night as James Wood fell to third-seeded Kettle Run in the Class 4 Northwestern District semifinals.

The Colonels, who upset second-seeded Millbrook 52-42 in overtime for their first win of the season on Wednesday, were never in it against the Cougars (15-9). Kettle Run led 19-6 after one quarter and 40-15 at the half.

The win, coupled with Handley’s victory over Sherando, gave the Cougars a Region 4C berth. James Wood finished its season 1-21.
