HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — Scott Jones scored a game-high 12 points to lead host Hedgesville (W.Va.) past James Wood in a game dominated by defense Monday night.
The Eagles led 17-16 at the half before outscoring the Colonels 14-5 in the third quarter to pull away.
Chad Potter, Mason Smith and Chris Skinner each scored seven points to lead James Wood (2-5).
Cooper Franks led the Colonels with 11 rebounds, and Skinner chipped in seven.
