Class 4 Northwestern District Team - Boys' Basketball

Handley freshman Will Braun-Duin was named Class 4 Northwestern District Player of the Year and Zach Harrell-Zook was selected Coach of the Year in voting by the league coaches that was released on Wednesday for boys’ basketball.

Braun-Duin, a guard, and Harrell-Zook helped Handley to a 17-5 overall record and a 7-1 mark to capture the district crown.

Kyren Oglesby (So., F) joined teammate Braun-Duin on the First Team. Sherando led with three First Team selections: Trey Williams (Sr., G); Drew Tyson (Sr., C) and Cassius Williams (Sr., G). Other First Team picks were: James Wood: Ashton Kees (Sr., C); Millbrook: Chase Ford (Sr., G).

Second Team selections were: Handley: Jaevon Brisco (So., G); Kaplan Ambrose (Sr., G); James Wood: Brandon Waters (Sr., G); Kemper Omps (Sr., G); Millbrook: Cohen Creswell (Sr., C), Andrew Henry (Sr., G).

The lone Honoroable Mention pick was Handley’s Breylon Miller (Sr., F).;
