Wood Girls Win Boonsboro Holiday Basketball Tourney

BOONSBORO, MD. — Keiana Brooks scored a game-high 18 points to lead James Wood to a 55-41 girls’ basketball victory over Boonsboro (Md.) in the championship of the Boonsboro Holiday Tournament on Saturday.
The Colonels rallied from a 15-9 deficit at the end of the first quarter, outscoring the Warriors 17-7 in the second quarter to take a 26-22 lead at the half.
Dani Rizzari added 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Kaitlyn Crane chipped in with nine points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
Brooks, who also had six rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals, and Rizzari, who had three rebounds and three assists, earned all-tournament honors for the Colonels (6-1).
Morgan Angle led Boonsboro with 11 points.
