Colonels Girls Top Heritage, 63-49

LEESBURG — James Wood junior Keiana Brooks led all scorers with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, five steals, five rebounds and four assists in a 63-49 Conference 21 girls’ basketball victory over Heritage Tuesday night.

The Colonels led 19-6 after the opening quarter and never trailed the rest of the way.

James Wood senior Dani Rizzari added 13 points, a team-high nine assists and three steals, and senior Morgan Duncan also scored in double figures with 11.

Senior Kaitlyn Crane added eight points, and senior Sarah Johnson finished with six points and a team-best 11 rebounds for the Colonels (14-5).

Ashley Silvernale led Heritage with 15 points and teammate Julia Ng added 13.
