Girl's Basketball - Cardinals 59, Colonels 48

WINCHESTER — Emily Garland scored a game-high 20 points to lead Spring Mills to a non-district win over James Wood on Saturday night at Shirley Gymnasium.

The Cardinals, who made eight 3-pointers in the victory, led 20-8 after the opening quarter and built a 39-18 advantage at the half.

Keiana Brooks led James Wood with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Hannah Arnold added 11 points, and Amanda Christian scored nine and had a team-best six assists for the Colonels.

James Wood’s Grace Greene added eight points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
