All-Area Girls’ Basketball First Team

Lauren Reed — Millbrook — Senior — Guard
Reed closed out her career as one of the best perimeter shooters in Virginia High School League history, setting Millbrook’s single game (8), single season (87) and career 3-point records (268) while averaging 16 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals. A second team 4A all-state selection, first team All 4A West Region selection and the Conference 21 West Player of the Year, Reed is The Winchester Star’s Player of the Year for the second straight season and third time overall. She ranks second on Millbrook’s all-time scoring list with 1,827 points.
Haile McDonald — Millbrook — Sophomore — Post
A dominant presence in the paint, McDonald displayed nice touch near the basket and was one of the area’s leaders in rebounding. She averaged 15.9 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks as she earned first team All-Conference 21 West and second team All-4A West Region honors.
Keiana Brooks — James Wood — Senior — Guard
Brooks’ all-around ability shined for the Colonels as she led the area in scoring (19.1 points) and she led Wood in most of the major statistical categories. She also averaged a team-high 6.9 assists and 4.6 steals and ranked second with 6.4 rebounds. She also shot 72 percent from the free-throw line and was a first team All-Conference West 21 pick.
Maddie Green — Millbrook — Sophomore — Guard
A dynamic all-around player with the ability to drive to the basket or knock down shots from the perimeter, Green averaged 13.4 points, a team-high 7.2 assists, a team-best 3.6 steals and 3.4 rebounds. She also ranked third on her team with 29 3-pointers. Green earned second team All-Conference 21 West honors.
Erika Reed —
Millbrook — Sophomore — Guard
Earning first team All-Conference 21 West and 4A West Region honorable mention, Reed could hurt opposing teams from the perimeter or driving to the basket. She ranked third on her team averaging 15.1 points and also averaged 2.8 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.3 rebounds. Her 43 3-pointers ranked second for the Pioneers and she shot 44 percent from the field.
Angelica Robinson — Handley — Senior — Forward
An athletic inside presence for the Judges with the ability to score inside or outside, Robinson averaged 16.9 points. Her quickness and height — at 6-feet — helped her dominate on the boards, averaging an area-best 14.7 rebounds. She also averaged 2.8 blocks, 2.8 steals and 2.1 assists. Robinson earned first team All-Conference 21 West honors.
Davina Lane — Sherando — Junior — Guard
With her sprinter’s speed, Lane proved to be a force on defense and in transition as she earned first team All-Conference 21 West and second team All-4A West Region honors. She led Sherando averaging 15.2 points, 3.6 steals, 1.9 assists and in free-throw percentage 76 percent. She also shared team-high honors with 6.0 rebounds.
