GIRLS’ BASKETBALL - Colonels 37, Eagles 34

WINCHESTER — James Wood outscored Clarke County 10-4 in the third quarter to take a three-point lead, and the Colonels went on to to defeat the Eagles Saturday.

James Wood (4-1) was led by Makayla Firebaugh (13 points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals, two blocks), Amanda Christian (10 points, five rebounds, three blocks), Hannah Arnold (six points, nine rebounds) and Amber Woolridge (six points, four assists, two steals, one block).

Clarke County is now 2-5.
