BOONSBORO, Md. — Poolesville (Md.) broke open a two-point game by outscoring James Wood 20-10 in the second quarter of the Boonsboro (Md.) Holiday Tournament championship game on Wednesday.

The Falcons led 35-23 at the half and 50-37 after three quarters.

All-tournament selections Amber Wooldridge (20 points, three steals) and Makayla Firebaugh (13 points, five rebounds, three assists) led James Wood. Amanda Christian had 10 points and eight rebounds and Hannah Burke had nine rebounds.
