Brooks named second team Sun Conference
LAKELAND, Fla. — St. Thomas University sophomore guard and James Wood graduate Keiana Brooks was named to the Sun Conference second team last week.
The versatile Brooks leads the Bobcats in minutes played this season (33.1 per game), ranks second on the team in assists (2.7 per game), steals (2.5) and field goal percentage (.417), and averages 8.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Brooks, a communications major, was also named to the academic all-conference team.
St. Thomas is 21-9 this season and will compete in the NAIA NAIA Division II National Championships, which will be held March 7-13 in Sioux City, Iowa. St. Thomas lost to top seed and the No. 1 team in the nation Southeastern (29-0) 75-41 in Saturday’s conference championship game.
