James Wood's Wooldridge to play basketball at Eastern Mennonite
WINCHESTER — James Wood senior guard Amber Wooldridge signed with NCAA Division III Eastern Mennonite University in a ceremony at James Wood on Tuesday.
Wooldridge was named to the Class 4 Northwestern District first team and the Region 4C second team this year.
She was second on the Colonels in scoring at 16.2 points per game (372 total), with a season-high of 30 against Kettle Run. She was also second on the team in 3-pointers with 44. She averaged 2.5 assists per game (57 total). She finished her James Wood career with 712 points, 97 3-pointers, 220 rebounds, 131 assists and 129 steals.
Located in Harrisonburg, Eastern Mennonite went 13-12 overall and 8-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference last season.
