Firebaugh reaches 1,000 career points in James Wood's romp
FRONT ROYAL — James Wood’s Makayla Firebaugh surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her career as she scored 27 points on Friday during the Colonels’ 61-14 girls’ basketball victory over Warren County.
Firebaugh converted on a left-hand layup off an assist from Brenna Prunty in the first half to reach the mark. She had 21 points at the half as James Wood (4-3) took a 43-7 lead.
Firebaugh joins Heather Armel and Keiana Brooks as the only players to score 1,000 points in program history.
