Colonels win on Eaton FTs

WINCHESTER — Tori Eaton sank two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to lift the James Wood High School girls’ basketball team to a 56-55 win over visiting Skyline on Tuesday night.

Heather Armel led all scorers, pouring in 32 points for the Colonels (3-7, 2-1 Northwestern District).

Whitney Dennis added 10 points, Shannon Thorne had seven points and 14 rebounds, and Eaton scored five points to go with nine rebounds.

Taylor Henry led Skyline (4-5, 1-2) with 20 points. Shannon Hoverter added 13.
