WINCHESTER — James Wood withstood a late Kettle Run rally to net a win at Shirley Gymnasium on Tuesday.
The Colonels led 14-5 after one quarter and 22-15 at the half. They were leading 36-27 with 3:45 left before the Cougars rallied to make it close.
James Wood leaders: Josie Russell 17 points, 12 rebounds, 7 blocks; Brooklynn Medina 9 points; Maddie Shirley 4 points, 11 steals; Mia Fritz 4 points, 9 rebounds.
