Area Briefs: James Wood girls rally to victory
WINCHESTER — Brooklynn Medina scored seven of her game-high 15 points int the final period as the James Wood High School girls' basketball team rallied to a 40-37 win over Hampshire (W.Va.) on Wednesday.
The Colonels (8-11) trailed 28-27 entering the final period.
Other James Wood leaders: Josie Russell 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals; Nayah Edwards 10 rebounds; Aubrey Nail 5 points; Mia Fritz 6 rebounds.
