All-Region 4D - Girls' Basketball

Handley sisters Reagan and Corin Edsell, along with Millbrook center Jaliah Jackson, are local First Team selections as the All-Region 4D teams were announced on Monday.

Reagan Edsell, a sophomore forward who was the Class 4 Northwestern District Player of the Year, averaged 17.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.8 steals during the regular season. Corin Edsell, a senior guard, averaged 15.2 points and 5.1 steals per game. Jackson, a junior post, notched 15.4 points and 8.3 rebounds in the regular season.

James Wood senior guard Brooklynn Medina (12.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg) was the area’s lone Second Team selection. Sherando junior guard Josie Willett (11.4 ppg), Handley junior guard Olivia Jett (9.6 ppg) and Millbrook junior guard Jada Arrington (9.4 ppg) were Honorable Mention selections.

Charlottesville senior guard Rayquell Allen was named Player of the Year and the Black Knight’s Jim Daly was named Coach of the Year.
