Wood girls pick up win over Fauquier
WINCHESTER — Josie Russell recorded her third straight double-double to help the James Wood girls' basketball team pick up a 54-15 win over Fauquier at home on Friday night.
The Colonels (2-1) led 16-2 after one quarter, 35-8 at the half and 50-13 after three quarters.
Wood leaders: Russell 20 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals; Maddie Shirley 13 points, 5 steals; Aubrey Nail 10 points; Ashlyn Evans 3 points, 5 rebounds.
