Girls’ basketball: Clarke County 59, James Wood 42

BERRYVILLE — Alainah McKavish scored 22 points to lead Clarke County to a season sweep of James Wood on Saturday.

McKavish also added 10 steals and four assists for the Eagles (4-0), who ended the five-game winning streak of the Colonels (5-2). Clarke County led 18-8 after one quarter, 40-20 at the half and 53-32 after three quarters.
