Armel to play at junior college in Midland, TX

WINCHESTER- Former James Wood High School girls' basketball star Heather Armel has accepted a scholarship to play at Midland College in Texas next season.
Armel, who graduated this spring as the Colonels' all-time leading scorer, decided this summer to play at the Division I junior college, which competes in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
Armel averaged 19.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals and was a first-team All-Northwestern District selection as a senior.
