Colonel girls 8th in Hagerstown meet
HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The James Wood girls placed eighth and the boys took 11th in the 16-team Western Maryland Winter Classic on Friday night at Hagerstown Community College.
South Carroll (Md.) won the girls' title with 83 points, Urbana (Md.) was second with 41 and James Wood scored 22 points. Watkins Mill (Md.) won the boys' title with 57 points, South Hagerstown was second with 53 and James Wood scored 11 points.

James Wood boys: Logan Owens, 5th, 55 hurdles, 8.70; 4x800 (Caleb Kemer, Chris White, Nathaniel Woshner, Liam McDonald), 6th, 9:29.70; Woshner, 3,200, 7th in 10:54.96.
