WINCHESTER — Sherando High School’s swim teams swept the City-County Holiday Sprints at Jim Barnett Park on Saturday morning.

Sherando’s boys turned in a dominant performance, totaling 237 points to beat runner-up Handley by 110. Handley (127), James Wood 881/2, and Millbrook 51 rounded out the team scoring.

David Restrepo took first in both the 25-meter freestyle (12.66 seconds) and the 50 fly (28.58), and Daniel Milburn won both the 100 individual medley (1:08.21) and the 200 free (2:09.86).

Sherando’s 100 medley relay team of Restrepo, Hunter Mayo, Jeremy Linaburg and Ethan Medrano took first in 58.93, and the Warriors 200 free relay team of Medrano, Mayo, Milburn and Restrepo won in 1:49.97.

Medrano also won the 100 free (59.79) and Mathew Pham won the 50 breast (34.63) for the Warriors.

Handley’s Carter Watts won the 50 free (26.30) and the 50 back (31.97) to pace the Judges. Handley’s 100 free relay team of Watts, Chris Will, William Yuan and Brian Tufts won in 54.29.

Sherando’s girls took the team title with 138 points, edging runner-up James Wood by 41/2 points. James Wood (133), Millbrook (125) and Handley (121) rounded out the girls’ team scores.

Abigail Sears won the 50 breast (39.84) and Hannah Starustka came in second (42.54) to pace Sherando.

The Warrior girls’ depth proved to be too much.

Sherando’s Sarah Lauer took third in the 200 free (2:40.31) and fourth in the 100 free (1:14.90).

Freshman Camryn Ubert took third in the 50 back (37.71).

Sherando’s girls swept second through fifth (Stella Mae Williams took second followed by Kelsie Utz, Lauren Heskett and Katie Wright) in the 25 free to earn 22 points.

Millbrook’s Abbey Esslinger won the 100 I.M. (1:14.06) and the 50 fly (32.29), and Lindsay Fairbanks won the 100 free (1:06.61) and the 200 free (2:26.32) to pace the Pioneers.

Fairbanks and Esslinger teamed with Eliza Grigsby and Taylor Linder to win the 100 medley relay in 1:08.04. The Pioneers’ Rylee Learn won the 25 free (15.09).

Handley’s Kenzie Fergus won the 50 back (34.05), and Meredith Watts took first in the 50 free (30.09).

Watts and Fergus teamed with Quincy Morefield and Elizabeth Keim to win the 200 free relay in 2:05.78.

The Judges’ 100 free relay team of Fergus, Jenna Logan, Madison Nail and Kristen Blake won in 1:04.52.

James Wood’s girls’ 100 medley relay team of Erin Jackson, Gabrielle Green, Zoe Schopick and Lydia Sunderlin took second (1:08.75) and the Colonels’ 100 free relay team of Taylin Crosen, Green, Whitney Merryman and Katie Sunderlin came in second (1:05.21). Schopick took second in the 50 fly (33.27), and Jackson came in second in the 50 back (35.01).
