SWIMMING - Eagle boys, Colonel girls win in dual
STRASBURG — The Clarke County boys won 102-65 and the James Wood girls won 91-79 in a dual meet Thursday at the Signal Knob Recreation Center.
Ryan Nesslerodt (50-yard freestyle in 24.89 and 100 backstroke in 1:07.83) won two events for the Clarke County boys, and other Eagle winners were Josh Wallace (200 free in 2:07.39), Jacob David (200 individual medley in 2:16.98), Eamon Judy (100 free in 56.70) and Dylan Nesslerodt (500 free in 6:09.56).
James Wood’s Brian Hua won the other two boys’ individual events — the 100 butterfly (1:00.54) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.80).
For the Colonel girls, Zoe Schopick (200 IM in 2:32.02 and 100 fly in 1:05.40) and Hannah Cavanagh (200 free in 2:22.19 and 500 free in 6:27.36) each won two individual events. Lydia Sunderlin (100 free in 1:01.74) and Erin Jackson (100 back in 1:08.19) also won for James Wood.
Clarke County’s individual girls’ winners were Maeve Lyman (50 free in 27.08) and Natalie Lyman (100 breast in 1:25.21).
