SWIMMING - Warriors sweep Colonels

WINCHESTER — The Sherando swim teams each completed perfect seasons in Northwestern District dual meets with victories over James Wood on Saturday morning at Jim Barnett Park’s War Memorial Building pool.

The Sherando boys won 115-50. Individual winners for the Warriors were Daniel Milburn (50-meter freestyle in 26.36 and 100 backstroke in 1:06.93), Mathew Pham (200 individual medley in 2:39.43 and 100 breaststroke in 1:23.15), Ayman Ibrahim (100 free in 1:01.25) and Hunter Mayo (400 free in 5:08.27). James Wood individual winners were David Dorsey (200 free in 2:22.28) and Brian Hua (100 butterfly in 1:06.52).

The Sherando girls won 99-71. Individual winners for the Warriors were Jordyn Jones (200 free in 2:32.75 and 400 free in 5:12.37), Kyra Schultz (200 IM in 2:46.31 and 100 free in 1:07.92), Gracie Twigg (50 free in 31.64) and Abigail Sears (100 breaststroke in 1:23.90). James Wood’s Zoe Schopick won the 100 butterfly (1:06.52) and 100 backstroke (1:18.94).
