SWIMMING - Judges sweep Colonels

WINCHESTER — The Handley boys defeated James Wood 98-58 and the Judges girls beat the Colonels 97-72 in a Class 4 Northwestern District dual meet on Thursday at the War Memorial building in Jim Barnett Park.

Individual winners for the Handley boys were Brian Tufts (50-meter freestyle, 29.91 seconds), Jackson Sitton (100 butterfly, 1:07.78), Silas Bell (100 freestyle, 1:03.78) and Chris Stearns (1:21.66).

Individual winners for the James Wood boys were Brian Hua (200 IM in 2:25.69, 100 breaststroke in 1:20.33) and David Dorsey (200 freestyle in 2:18.83, 400 free in 5:01.63).

Individual winners for the Handley girls were Kenzi Fergus (200 free in 2:26.21 and 100 fly in 1:16.18), Quincy Morefield (50 free in 32.75 and 100 breaststroke in 1:40.84), Jenna Logan (100 free in 1:18.07) and Meredith Watts (100 back in 1:23.68).

Kimberly Warnagiris won two events for James Wood (the 200-meter IM in 2:38.35 and the 400 free in 5:01.36).
