First Team
Megan De Jong, Sherando -- A junior, De Jong finished 11th in the 500-yard freestyle and 13th in the 200 individual medley at the Group AA/A state meet, plus anchored the Warriors' 10th-place 400 free relay at the state meet. De Jong tallied Northwestern District championships in the 200 IM and 400 free and anchored the Warriors' district-champion 400 free relay. De Jong led the area in five individual events.
Sparkle Kitchin, Handley -- A junior, Kitchin was 18th in the 200-yard freestyle and 28th in the 500 free at the Group AA/A state meet. Kitchin won a Northwestern District championship in the 100 free and swam a leg on the Judges' district champion 200 medley relay. Kitchin led the area in the 200 free and ranked among the leaders in six other events.
Liz Grove, Handley -- A freshman, Grove captured a Northwestern District title in the 100-meter backstroke and swam a leg on the Judges' district-champion 200 medley relay. Grove ranked among the area's leaders in four individual events.
Katie Kozlowski, Millbrook -- A sophomore, Kozlowski posted a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Group AA/A state meet. Kozlowski won a Northwestern District title in the 100 breaststroke and posted the area's top time in that event. She also ranked among the area leaders in the 200 individual medley.
Kelsey Dingman, Sherando -- Dingman posted a 26th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at the Group AA/A state meet, plus swam legs on two state-qualifying relays which set new school records during the year. Dingman had the area's top time in the 50 free and swam legs on a pair of area-leading relay teams for the Warriors.
