James Wood Wrestlers Lead After Day 1 Of Horz Tournament

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.VA. — Six James Wood wrestlers finished the first day with perfect 3-0 records to put the Colonels in first place after the opening day of the Max Horz Tournament at Berkeley Springs High School on Friday.

James Wood leads the tournament with 112 points followed by Loudoun Valley with 95.

Colonels junior Aaron Black (113 pounds), sophomore Corey Lemons (120), junior Matt Papastavrou (138), senior Hunter Bentley (195), freshman Jared King (220) and senior Adam Vadell (285) all went 3-0 on the opening day of the two-day event.

Fourth-round action is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. today.
