Aaron Black — James Wood — Junior — 113 pounds
Black (52-5) placed second in Group 4A and was 4A West Region and Conference 21 West champion. Black had a team-high 27 pins.
Mike Duffy — Sherando — Senior — 126 pounds
Duffy (51-8) placed fourth in Group 4A, second in the 4A West Region and was Conference 21 West champion. Duffy had 27 pins. He finished with a career record of 137-59.
Bayne Gordon — Clarke County — Junior — 126 pounds
Gordon (52-5) was Group 2A state, 2A East Region and Conference 35 champion. Gordon had 25 pins. Gordon’s state title was his third, the most in school history and the most ever won at an area school.
Lio Quezada — Handley — Senior — 132 pounds
Quezada (45-3) was Group 4A state, 4A West Region and Conference 21 West champion. Quezada had a team-high 32 pins. Quezada’s state title was the second of his career (2014 was his first). He finished with a career record of 176-25 (most wins in school history) and will wrestle at NCAA Division I George Mason University next year.
Cam Bentley — Handley — Junior — 138 pounds
Bentley (40-15) placed fifth in Group 4A, third in the 4A West Region and was Conference 21 West champion. Bentley had 29 pins.
Curtis Guthridge — Sherando — Senior — 145 pounds
Guthridge (52-6) placed fifth in the 4A West Region and was Conference 21 West champion. Guthridge had 26 pins. He finished with a career record of 160-50 (third-most wins in school history).
Trae Sine — Millbrook — Senior — 145 pounds
Sine (34-9) was a Group 4A state qualifier and placed third in the 4A West Region and second in Conference 21 West. Sine had 13 pins. He finished with a career record of 85-34.
William Heath — Clarke County — Sophomore — 152 pounds
Heath (35-6) placed fifth in Group 2A and was 2A East Region and Conference 35 champion. Heath had 25 pins.
Dolan Delaney — Handley — Senior — 170 pounds
Delaney (39-11) was a Group 4A state qualifier, placed second in the 4A West Region and was Conference 21 West champion. Delaney had 14 pins. He finished with a career record of 137-72.
John Borst — Sherando — Junior — 182 pounds
Borst (55-2) was Group 4A state, 4A West Region and Conference 21 West champion. His win total led the area and he had an area-high 43 pins. Borst’s state title was his second straight, and he broke the school record for career pins this year (120).
Bryan Wallace — Clarke County — Sophomore — 195 pounds
Wallace (46-0) was Group 2A state, 2A East Region and Conference 35 champion. He had a team-high 37 pins. Wallace’s state title was his second straight, and he posted the first perfect record in school history this season.
Tommy Shea-Roop — Handley — Senior — 220 pounds
Shea-Roop (27-7) placed third in Group 4A and the 4A West Region and was Conference 21 West champion. He had 19 pins. Shea-Roop finished with a career record of 143-41.
Ben Avery — Sherando — Senior — 285 pounds
Avery (39-5) had his season end after suffering an injury in practice after winning the Conference 21 West tournament. Placed sixth at the Beast of the East in Newark, Del. Had 31 pins. He finished with a career record of 111-35.
Adam Vadell — James Wood — Senior — 285 pounds
Vadell (35-13) was a Group 4A state qualifier and placed third in the 4A West Region and second in Conference 21 West. Vadell had 25 pins. Vadell finished with a career record of 122-67.
