Colonels wrestlers leading Horz Inviatational

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — James Wood had five wrestlers go unbeaten during the opening day of the Max Horz Invitational wrestling tournament at Berkeley Springs High School on Friday night.

The Colonels lead after four rounds of the two-day tournament with 103.5 points. Berkeley Springs (93.5), Clarke County (87.5), Heritage (62) and Loudoun Valley (62) rounded out the top five.

James Wood’s Vince Caruso (106 pounds), Corey Lemons (126) and Matt Papastavrou (145) all went 4-0. The Colonels’ Aaron Black (120) and Bailey Eichelberger (182) each went 3-0.

The tournament concludes today.
