Wood’s Black wins title at 120 in Chantilly tourney

CHANTILLY — James Wood senior Aaron Black won the 120-pound championship at the Third annual Joe Verciglio Memorial Tournament at Chantilly High School on Saturday.

Black led the way for the Colonels, who finished sixth in the 17-team tournament.

The Colonels’ Bailey Eichelberger finished as the runner-up at 170 pounds, and Vince Caruso (106), Matt Papastavrou (145) and Jack Youngblood (160) all finished fourth. Other placewinners for Wood included Jared King (220, fifth), Corey Lemons (126, sixth) and Aaron Curd (138, eighth).

Patrick Henry won the tournament.
