Wrestling: Colonels 4th at Chantilly

CHANTILLY — James Wood placed fourth out of 19 teams at the fourth annual Joe Verciglio Memorial Tournament on Saturday at Chantilly High School.

The tournament was condensed from two days to one because of Friday’s cold weather.

James Wood scored 431.5 points to finish behind Churchill, Md., (489.5); Westfield (482); and Caesar Rodney, Del., (470.5).

The Colonels had three wrestlers take fourth (Josiah Geaslen, 106, Sam Adkins, 145, Luke Roy, 195), two place fifth (Joey Vitola, 138, Aaron Curd, 152) and four finish sixth (Noah Cooley, 106, Vince Caruso, 113, Paul Ebersole, 170, and Kobey Brooker, 220).
