James Wood has 9 in semis at Walters/Copp

WINCHESTER — James Wood had nine wrestlers advance to today’s championship semifinals as a result of their performances on Friday at the two-day, 17-team Willie Walters/Jaye Copp Holiday Wrestling Tournament at the Colonels’ Shirley Gymnasium.

The tournament concludes today. Action will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the championship semifinals. The remaining rounds will be competed on a rolling schedule. Millbrook has four semifinalists. Clarke County did not advance any wrestlers to the semifinals.
