James Wood wrestling places fourth at Boonsboro Tournament
BOONSBORO, Md. — Hayden Black and Max Mooney placed first in their respective weight classes to propel James Wood to a fourth-place finish out of 14 teams at the Battle of the Boro Tournament, which concluded on Saturday.
Black finished first at 106 and had six pins, one technical fall and one major decision en route to an 8-0 finish. Mooney (132) also went 8-0 with four pins, two technical falls and one major decision. The Colonels totaled 263.5 points, finishing behind first-place Brunswick (360.5), second-place Boonsboro (325.0) and third-place Tuscarora (271.5).

Fourth: Cash Keeler (120), 6-3 with 4 pins, 1 technical decision; Blake Tidwell (175), 5-3 with 3 pins, 1 major decision. Fifth: Hayden Franks (144), 6-4 with 1 pin, 1 major decision; Austin Noble (150), 5-3 with 2 pins, 1 technical fall; Orion Cox (215) 6-3 with 5 pins. Sixth: Aiden Henry (165), 4-2 with 2 pins, 1 major decision. Seventh: Isaiah Hodel (126), 5-5 with 3 pins, 1 major decision.
