BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Sherando sent six wrestlers through to the championship semifinals after the first day of the Max Horz Invitational wrestling tournament at Berkeley Springs High School on Friday.

Jacob Guthridge (103 pounds), Brandon Fletcher (125), Aaron Laboy (145), Brandon Oswalt (189), Travis Gunter (285), and B.J. Askew (285) all advanced into today's championship semifinals. The Warriors are in sixth place with 58 team points.

James Wood is in eighth place with 53 points. The Colonels sent four wrestlers through to the championship semifinals, including Taylor Swartz (103), Cody Landis (130), Cory Schrock (171), and Mark Bean (215).

The 11-team tournament continues today at 10 a.m. and the championship finals are scheduled to begin at approximately 4 p.m.
