2 Colonels win titles

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - James Wood's Taylor Swartz and Cody Landis both won titles at the Max Horz Invitational wrestling tournament at Berkeley Springs High School Saturday.

Swartz (103 pounds) and Landis (130) led James Wood to fifth place in the 11-team tournament. Cory Schrock (171) and Mark Bean (189) finished as runners-up for Wood.

Sherando came in eighth place with Brandon Fletcher (125) leading the way with runner-up honors. B.J. Askew (285) came in third for the Warriors. Dan Mullaney (130) and Travis Gunter (285) both came in fourth place for the Colonels.

DeMatha (Md.) won the tournament, and Hedgesville (W.Va) came in second.
